William K. Komperda

Chief Executive Officer & President

Mr. Komperda is a seasoned finance professional and Certified Public Accountant with CEO and public company executive management experience. Bill has over 30 years of broad experience and expertise in capital markets, capital generation (equity and debt), mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, asset securitization, finance/accounting/tax, structured finance, loan origination, and loan servicing, as well as related real estate and whole loan trading experience.

Michael Giampaolo

EVP, Credit & Operations

Mr. Giampaolo is a result’s oriented senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Michael has a proven track record of successfully building dynamic sales and operational teams, while executing complex strategic initiatives that resulted in enhanced organizational effectiveness, consistent revenue growth, disciplined expense control, while ensuring appropriate risk tolerance was maintained. His in-depth mortgage lending and management experience in all origination channels, includes both retail and wholesale residential, commercial, reverse and PACE/Consumer lending that also spans a wide range of economic and lending cycles, in constantly changing regulatory environments. His knowledge, experience and leadership skills makes him a valuable addition to the NuBridge executive team. 

Abi Subendranathan

EVP, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Subendranathan has held a range of financial leadership positions at a variety of organizations from global Fortune 100 companies to private-equity backed entities and startups in the financial services, real estate, energy and technology sectors. With over 20 years of experience, Abi started her career in public accounting in England, auditing insurance and financial services companies, after graduating from University College London with a BSc. In Economics and Mathematics. Abi is a CPA, holds a Master of Information Technology from Australia’s Queensland University of Technology, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the England and Wales Institute.

Chris Lappi

EVP, Chief Information Officer 

Mr. Lappi is known among his colleagues as a dynamic leader who enjoys bringing business and technology together to create cloud-based solutions to enhance a company’s bottom line. His expertise in providing hands-on development, implementation and management of integration, process improvement and operations management are an integral component for NuBridge’s business strategy. Chris is well versed in designing and implementing short- and long-term business and technology plans, strategies, processes, architecture and systems while keeping regulatory and compliance issues in focus. Mr. Lappi’s operational mantra is having technology work for us rather than us working for the technology.

Tina Nazari

EVP, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller 

Ms. Nazari has been actively involved in senior management, accounting, financial analysis & reporting, information technology, operations, human resources, and insurance for over 20 years. The majority of Ms. Nazari’s experience has been in both the insurance and finance industries. A self- motivated individual with strong management, organizational, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal communication skills. Ms. Nazari is a graduate of California State University Fullerton, where she received her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She also holds a current California Real Estate License.

Penny Groel

EVP, General Counsel

Ms. Groel is an accomplished attorney with over 30 years of experience. She oversees all aspects of the company including corporate housekeeping responsibilities, licensing and compliance, loan origination, negotiation of and compliance with funding sources, general contract review, litigation and human resources. Ms. Groel has a broad range of legal experience with particular emphasis on corporate, real estate, finance and securities law. Prior to joining NuBridge, she was in-house general counsel for a commercial mortgage lender. Her 25-year private practice focused on asset-based, secured lending in the real estate and energy sectors. She has represented banks, mortgage companies and institutional investors in the origination, purchase, sale and servicing of residential and commercial real estate loans. In her corporate practice, she has represented public and private companies in connection with corporate governance, compliance, confidentiality matters, acquisitions, asset sales and joint ventures. She worked on numerous securitizations and re-securitizations with respect to a variety of loans including residential real estate, commercial real estate, auto, credit card, CLO, and CDO transactions. In connection with such securitizations she has represented a wide range of parties including issuers, underwriters, trustees, custodians and credit enhancers.
