FLSA: Exempt position
The position reports to the Vice President, Systems Administrator. Working with the Vice President, Systems Administrator, manage the company’s technology infrastructure to meet the need of the company’s strategic plans. Ensures the efficient operation of the network, servers, telecommunications, and support systems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Support and maintenance of user environment to include workstations, printers, VOIP telephones, and peripherals.
• Work with the VP, Systems Administrator to accomplish the short- and long-term technology strategies of the company.
• Data Center network architecture maintenance and administration.
• Maintain, monitor, and ensure continuous compliance with disaster recovery plans, computer security, antivirus, and firewall protections, etc.
• Ensure operational procedures and policies are accurate and up to date.
• Proactively identify and correct network issues, bandwidth bottlenecks, etc.
• Upgrade software and hardware as needed.
• Document the network, updating documentation when changes are made.
• Develop network reports on the health and status of the network.
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong fundamental experience in networking principles and practices.
• Three or more years of experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, etc.
• Three or more years of experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting Cisco and Meraki internetworking platforms.
• Three or more years of experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting VMware ESX platforms.
• Three or more years of experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop platforms.
• Three or more years of experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments.
• Ability to independently analyze problems, research potential technical solutions, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations to senior management.
• Ability to communicate with people with various levels of technical knowledge.
• Solid analytical, technical and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
• Degree in Information Technology or other relevant experience.
• Cisco Certification Technician or higher certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or higher certification.
• Experience supporting VOIP is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting financial institutions is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions
• Normal office environment.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
