Steve Powel

EVP, Head of Strategy

Steve Powel serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy at NuBridge. In this capacity, Mr. Powel oversees the firm’s commercial lending division, managing corporate strategy, strategic relationships, and partnerships. He brings over 38 years of extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Previously, as the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SitusAMC, Mr. Powel transformed the company from a fledgling transactional services firm into a leading solutions provider in the real estate finance industry. Under his leadership, SitusAMC diversified its services to include loan servicing, asset management, underwriting and advisory services, and real estate and debt valuations. The company expanded to over 30 global offices, employed more than 6,500 people, and served over 1,500 institutional clients. Notably, SitusAMC’s commercial real estate assets under management grew from $3 billion to $175 billion during his tenure. Mr. Powel was instrumental in devising the firm’s growth strategy, which included expanding into Western Europe and Asia in 2004 and diversifying into the residential mortgage market in 2016. Over the past decade, SitusAMC acquired more than 20 financial services firms in the U.S. and Europe, establishing itself as the largest solutions provider in the industry.

Mr. Powel has held several prominent advisory roles, including Vice Chairman of MISMO’s Board of Directors, an advisor to SitusAMC’s Board of Directors, and Senior Advisor to Gatehouse Strategies, a Washington D.C.-based housing policy group. Additionally, he has served as an advisor to Foundation CREF, Avanti Way Group, and Multihousing Partners, and is a Principal and Managing Member of Point North Capital, LLC. He also contributes as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Key Biscayne Police Officer & Firefighters Pension Board.

Abi Subendranathan

EVP, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Subendranathan has held a range of financial leadership positions at a variety of organizations from global Fortune 100 companies to private-equity backed entities and startups in the financial services, real estate, energy and technology sectors. With over 20 years of experience, Abi started her career in public accounting in England, auditing insurance and financial services companies, after graduating from University College London with a BSc. In Economics and Mathematics. Abi is a CPA, holds a Master of Information Technology from Australia’s Queensland University of Technology, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the England and Wales Institute.

Jay Jablonski

EVP, Head of Asset Management 

Jay Jablonski is the Executive Vice President and Head of Asset Management at NuBridge. In this capacity, Mr. Jablonski oversees the firm’s commercial lending division, with responsibilities including servicing, asset management, loan workout strategies, and the management and disposition of REO assets. He brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate to the role.

Previously, Mr. Jablonski served as Managing Director of CRE Debt Asset Management at Apollo Global Management, where he oversaw a $40 billion international commercial real estate debt portfolio, which included first mortgages, mezzanine loans, and construction loans secured by a wide range of property types. He managed a team of internal and external asset managers and was instrumental in developing systems and protocols for efficiently monitoring the global portfolio.

Mr. Jablonski, also served as a Vice President on Situs’ dedicated platform Hanover Street, providing asset management for Deutsche Bank’s Special Situations Group, as well as other select client commercial real estate investment portfolios. Earlier in his career, he held positions as a Real Estate Consulting Manager at Ernst & Young and as a Financial Analyst at Halcyon Real Estate Advisors.

Mr. Jablonski holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bryant University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
